What makes your spa store sense-ational compared to the rest?

Hannah Kearny: A Ski Season of Wins & Comfort in Sense

If you follow Sense on facebook (and please do!) then you’ve probably seen us hyping up Professional Skiier, Hannah Kearny. She’s not only an Olympic Gold Medalist, but she’s had quite the season this year and we’re MORE than excited for all her successes, plus her sharing her Sense love along the way!

Hannah had a set back early in the season that posted her up for several months.”Unfortunately, I took a spill during training on October 5th and had to spend 5 days in the hospital with a bruised liver, 2 fractured ribs and a small pneumothorax in my right lung. Once I was allowed to change out of my hospital gown, my teammates brought me some of my own clothing and my Sense wear was quite comfortable for my forced bed rest. Luckily, I was never in a lot of pain and I heal quickly.” –Hannah Kearny

Hannah is one incredible athlete and woman! We’ve been honored to work with Hannah for years now and just adore that she shares her adventures across the world with Sense. With our hearts booming, Hannah won the FIS Freestyle Ski World Championships women’s moguls and didn’t stop there.

This past weekend Hannah took first place in Are, Sweden for women’s Dual Moguls and is now headed to Spain this weekend for finals. We cannot be more excited for her season and are rooting for her all the way to finals!

Interview w/ Robin Beachner: Sense’s 2nd Skin is here to stay!

Sense’s 2nd Skin (top) was debuted in the Fall 2013 Collection and it looks like it’s here to stay! Hear first hand from Robin Beachner, Sense Clothing’s CEO, on the why, what, and how the 2nd Skin came into life.

What inspired you to design the 2nd Skin?

To offer a ULTRA soft piece that coordinates with all the latest Sense styles and colors. 2nd Skin is great for layering and everyone who loves Sense knows that Sense looks best when layered up! 

How did you choose the fabric?

100% micro tencel is one of the finest fabrics you will ever experience. It helps regulate body temperature and has anti-bacterial properties. It’s sheer yet provides the perfect amount of coverage for you to layer under your favorite tops or alone with a sexy half tank under it. The micro tencel saturates the color giving us vibrant amazing hues. This is a top that will be worn over and over! The colors resist fading and micro tencel will not shrink!

What are your favorite ways to wear the 2nd Skin?

Layer a long sleeve 2nd Skin under your favorite summer top! Turn your favorite tank into an all year round item. It’s great to layer under those scratchy wool sweaters or under a hip sequenced vest. We have a customer that wears hers backwards so the scoop is in the back. It’s super elegant that way!

Wearing the 2nd Skin is so easy (hence the name 2nd Skin!) and can be worn any time of year.
